Aquarium Sand Waterfall DIY Kit (Sandfall Core) - High Quality 3D Print – Aquarium, Paludarium & Aquascape Sandfall

The most realistic 3D-printed quality on the market. This DIY sandfall kit creates the classic flowing-sand waterfall effect in an aquarium or a paludarium water section. Water from a small pump draws sand from the collecting tray, carries it up the tube and releases it from the outlet, so it cascades back down over your rockwork. Hidden inside a rock or hardscape build, it gives a natural, constantly moving waterfall. All parts are 3D-printed in grey and connect with standard 12 mm ID tubing.

• UL6 (standard): one-piece integrated sand inlet, 125 mm long, 60 mm tray, 33 mm high
• UXL6 (adjustable): separate sand inlet and chute clip so the length can vary; 60 mm tray, 35 mm high, 62 mm base
• UXL15 (large tray): as UXL6 but with a 150 mm sand-collecting tray, 45 mm high
• Single-channel kits (UL6 / UXL6 / UXL15) include: sand inlet, 3rd-gen vertical sand outlet (5.7 × 5.5 × 2.5 cm) and 1 m of 12 mm ID tube
• IT1 (dual channel) includes: 2 × IO13JS-LT1 sand inlets, 1.2 m inlet tube, 1 m outlet tube, 4 × 16 mm elbows, 2 × sand chute clips (4.9 × 1.9 × 4.9 cm), 2 × IO13 sand outlets
• Sand is not included – fine ceramic sand of about 0.8–1.5 mm gives the best flow
• Pump is not included as standard. Extra option for the single-channel kits (UL6 / UXL6 / UXL15): add an 8W pump – 96 × 61 × 86 mm, anti-clog filter, 12 mm and 12/16 mm nozzles; 220–240 V, supplied with an Australian plug adapter. For the IT1 dual-channel kit, use your own pump suited to two channels.

Use

• Choose UL6 for the simplest set-up, UXL6 if you want to adjust the length, UXL15 for a bigger sand tray, or IT1 to run two sandfalls from one build.
• The kit only works fully underwater – the sand outlet must sit below the water surface.
• Glue up a rock formation with a hollow base, press the kit underneath, fill the gaps around the outlet with aquarium foam, then place it in the tank and connect the pump. Cut the tube to suit your tank height.
• Best in medium to large aquariums, paludarium water features and aquascapes; adjust the angle so the sand falls back into the tray.
• For aquariums, rinse all parts and your sand thoroughly with clean water before use.
