Ficus thunergii is a slow growing miniature ficus, ideal for terrarium use. Commonly named oak leaf ficus due to the leaves resembling common oak.
Excellent for covering tree fern panels or other vertical structures and will grow epiphytically once rooted to the background.
$10 for a cutting of 10-15cm. Super easy to root if not letting them dry.
I was nervous about this purchase. I have wanted this plant for so long, but a cutting in the mail seemed risky. I had no need to worry. It came in a plastic container safe and secure. I placed it in a sealed grow box with spag moss and here we are one week later with roots and new leaves. So happy.
I've been looking for a little ficus for ages so was pleased to find this. Not only a good price but the plant arrived mostly healthy and in one piece. I also got a rock and some moss, however the rock had caused some damage to the other items packaging in transit so I would recommend the seller package items a bit more mindfully but otherwise very happy and will be purchasing again
The cutting I received was smaller that expected, and after transit, was unfortunately not the healthiest
Seems to have survived the journey to Cairns well and is in my terrarium looking good! Verry happy
Container Ficus cutting was put in was crushed to pieces, the Ficus was shrivelled and dead.
