Leaves of this species have a crepe paper feel when dry and the large shoots look not unlike pipe cleaners. Hence, it is sometimes referred to as Paper Moss or Pipe Cleaners. It is very common and easily identified in the field where known from a range of wet to dry vegetation types. They grow well with medium light and stable high humidity 80-100%

This is really slow growing moss in terrarium and vivarium.
